north downs
The North Downs are chalk hills located just south of London (above the South Downs). They run through the counties of Surrey and Kent and are made up of the Surrey Hills and Kent Downs.
As they are a bit nearer to London than the South Downs, they are perfect to come to if you arent in the mood for the longer train journey.
The North Downs Way is a long distance trail running for 153 miles through them from Farnham to Dover, and is one of the trails I’m currently working on. Kind of. That trail has been a curse, so I’m taking a break from it.
